Dr. Michael Babcock
Dr. Michael Babcock was raised in Aberdeen, SD, and earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University in 2015. Before attending Northwestern, he completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and associate’s degree in chemistry at Presentation College, where he also played basketball and baseball for all four years.
Throughout his intensive training and internship, Dr. Babcock worked in and around various clinics, gaining hands-on experience and deepening his passion for helping others through chiropractic care. His areas of interest include family practice with a focus on sports medicine, wellness care, pediatrics, and clinical nutrition. Dr. Babcock has since become the first official team chiropractor of Northern State University and has a passion for helping serve their athletes. He has also enjoyed being the chair of the Avera St. Lukes Philanthropy/Foundation Board in hopes to better serve the Aberdeen community.
Dr. Babcock is certified in Graston Technique, Rock Tape (postural taping), and Cox Technique. His clinical methods include manual adjustments, activator technique, drop-piece adjustments, flexion distraction and Graston technique—ensuring a safe, effective approach to pain relief and overall improvement of nervous system function. Additionally, Dr. Babcock is licensed to perform DOT physicals.
In his personal life, Dr. Babcock enjoys spending time with his wife, Dana, their children Sawyer, Nolan and Logan. He values staying physically active, being outdoors, and participating in his church community. His hobbies include coaching his kids, hunting, fishing, sports and volunteering in local community efforts.
